Floating gives you a unique feeling of weightlessness. During floating the body is liberated from its daily battle with gravity. All the muscles and organs are then able to relax completely. Breathing slows down and the heart rate lowers. The environment, the warmth and the feeling of being completely supported by the water, all contribute to floating being an ideal way to let go of stress.

Extensive research has shown there are many benefits to regular floating:

Deep relaxation helps the body de-stress
Decreases back and neck pain
Improves joint problems and arthritis
Lowers high blood pressure
Speeds up healing of sports injuries
Both enjoyable and beneficial during pregnancy
Helps to overcome jet-lag quickly
Improves creativity and artistic performance
Releases endorphins, the body's natural painkiller

You will be floating on a bed of water 10" deep and saturated with 300kg of Epsom Salts, in a large self-contained suite. Lighting and music are both available for you to control during the float. A single float session lasts for up to 50 minutes.

Floating combines very well with Traditional Thai Massage before or Massage afterwards.
Full body scrub may be given prior to the session or try our organic beauty treatments after your float.

RELAXATION

We are generally quite unaware of how much tension we hold in our bodies and we rarely give ourselves time to recharge and recuperate fully. Many people have poor sleep patterns or simply just don't know how to relax. This contributes to the physical problems and ailments we experience and hinders the healing process dramatically.

We offer ways to help you learn to relax either in a 1:1 setting or small group class. Alternatively, all our exercise classes incorporate a relaxation session at the end. We also have a rest room for you to enjoy at the end of a float or treatment where you can relax in quiet with a hot or cold drink.

BREATHING

Breathing is something the body knows how to do for our basic survival. It is automatic and instinctive.
However, when we unconsciously hold or restrict the breathe, because of physical or emotional problems, this can have negative effects on the functioning of the body.

Breathing is not simply about getting oxygen into our bodies. It affects our respiration, cardiovascular, neurological, digestive, muscular and emotional systems. It affects our sleep, memory, energy levels, concentration and peace of mind.

We live in very stressful worlds and the process of breathing lies at the very centre of every action or reaction we make or have.
Refining the way we breathe can have a hugely positive impact on the functioning of our body and mind.

MEDITATION

We are very familiar with ways that relax the body but generally do not give much time to help our minds relax and turn from negative thinking to more positive useful ways of thinking.

Our distracted world increases the busy chatter that is constant in our minds all the time. This leads to worry, anxiety, restlessness, lack of concentration and the inability to cope with our everyday problems.
Meditation is a way we can reduce this and acquire a calm inner peace. It helps the mind de-focus from its external involvement with life. It gives us clarity and strength to cope with the difficulties life throws us.

We offer a short lunch time meditation class which teaches simple techniques suitable for anyone who would like to calm their mind and create a breathing space in the day.
